Dr. Shane and Tom,

I just started dating a girl in October, and at this point, we've spent a couple nights together.  We took a shower the other day, and when I tried to wash her hair, she stopped me.  She said she doesn't wash it every day, and actually, she hasn't washed it in a MONTH.  She says she takes showers, but she doesn't wash her hair.

I know you're not supposed to wash your hair every day, but should you really go months without washing it?  Is it gross that my girlfriend goes so long without washing her hair?  Do other people do it, too?
