60-year-old Irene Harper and her 80-year-old father Thomas Foden of Wolverhampton, England have played the lottery every week since it started in November, 1994. (--Wolverhampton is 129 miles northwest of London.)
--Not only that, but Thomas and Irene bought their ticket from the SAME store every week for the last 18 years.
--The most they've ever won is $15. So last Friday, Irene decided to change things up to see if it improved their luck.--A grocery store had just installed a new lottery machine, so Irene bought her ticket there, instead of at the newsstand they normally went to.
--And it WORKED. Thomas and Irene matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing, and won the jackpot . . . which was a little more than $6.3 million.
