Actor Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) had a run-in with TSA at the Dallas airport. It seems eyes were raised when Mayhew went thru security with his custom made lightsaber cane.

Over the weekend a 1.7-mile-wide asteroid sailed past Earth, coming within 3.6 million miles. 

Scientists first discovered the asteroid in August of 1998, naming it Asteroid 1998 QE2. This was the closest the asteroid would be to Earth for at least the next 200 years. Scientists say it had no chance of hitting Earth.
