Good news/bad news regarding two ABC shows: Nashville has been picked up for a second season, while Reba McEntire’s sitcom Malibu Country has been dropped after one season.
The official Twitter account for Nashville revealed Friday, “Breaking #Nashville has officially been picked up for season two!” The news sent cast mates Clare Bowen (Scarlett), Sam Palladio (Gunnar), Ray Wisdom(Coleman Carlisle) and Hayden Panettiere (Juliette) into a frenzy with celebratory Twitter posts. Haydentweeted, “NASHVILLE SEASON 2! I’ve finally finished jumping up and down on the bed with excitement! Ah!”
Meanwhile, Reba took to Twitter to share her bad news with followers on Saturday, posting, “So I guess you’ve all heard we did not get a second season pick up for @Malibu_Country. Not to worry. Everything happens for a reason! :) Here’s to our new and exciting adventure, whatever it may be. So looking forward to it. Love you all for your constant support!”
Want to find the tastiest slice of pizza near you? A new iPhone app promises to do just that.
Pizza Compass, which costs 99 cents, works like any other compass – except that the arrow is actually a pizza slice, and it doesn't point north – it points toward the nearest pizza joint it can find.
The app uses information from Foursquare and – in some cases – tell users whether the place is open or not. As users get nearer to a pizza joint, the space around the pizza pointer will start to look steamy. (L.A. Times)
